Readings by Oregon Book Awards finalists
The Oregon Book Awards finalists will be at the Pendleton Public Library reading from their works. Finalists are: David Axelrod, Tracy Daugherty, Richard Moeschl, and Richard Weissman. Please come listen as these outstanding authors give voice to their works. Books will be available for purchase.

In-Library Magazine Sale
The Library is reducing the magazine back issues we keep. Issues from 2003, 2004, & 2005 (both children's & adult titles) will be deleted. These are available to the public at a charge of $1 per magazine box on Wednesday & Thursday; $1 per bag (yours...any size) on Friday; & free on Saturday. Proceeds go to the Pendleton Friends of the Library who coordinate the Adopt-A-Magazine program.
East Meets West virtual tour of Portland's Chinese Garden
Come join us in a virtual tour of the Portland Chinese Garden on Dec 5th at 7 pm in the City Hall/Library Community Room. Joan Kvitka, Education Director of the East Meets West program, will take us on an information tour which includes the process of building the garden, design elements, and the spectacular results. Anyone interested in Chinese culture will be enlightened by this presentation. Refreshments will be served, curtesy of the Pendleton Friends Of the Library.

World War II
Pendleton Public Library will host a program on World War II presented by the Oregon National Guard's Heritage Outreach Program. The program will provide an overview of the major events of WWII with focus on the 41st Division, the first American Division sent overseas after Pearl Harbor.
